REenergizeCO: The Best Fort Collins Insulation Contractor
REenergizeCO installs and removes both cellulose and fiberglass insulation in Fort Collins, CO homes and small businesses. Adding insulation to your walls, attic, and floors will help make your home or office more comfortable. Inadequate or absent insulation is the number one cause of energy loss in Fort Collins homes. Ensuring that your insulation levels are up to code for your region will lower your utility bills and keep your home cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
In the video below you’ll see Casey demonstrates how REenergizeCO increases the level of blow in insulation in a Colorado home.

How Much Insulation Is Necessary?
Home insulation products are rated using a measurement called an R-value. The R-value is defined by the insulation products resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value number is the greater resistance the product has to against heat transfer.
The amount of insulation needed in a home is determined by the region and area being insulated. In Northern Colorado the R-values required to keep a home up to code should be considered as a minimum. For loose cellulose insulation multiply the R-value of the insulation required by 3.7 to get the depth in inches needed to adequately insulate the space. For fiberglass insulation, multiply the R-value of the insulation by 3.2 to calculate the depth of insulation needed.
Recommended R-values
- Conditioned Crawl Space Insulation: R-10 to R-13
- Cold Crawl Space Insulation: R-8
- Basement Wall Insulation: R-10 to R-13
- Masonry Exterior Wall Insulation: R-10 to R-13
- Attic Insulation: A minimum of R-25
